Balanced
A cool, wet summer saved by a fine September
A sunny spring, a cold and wet July and August, and an outbreak of sour rot, then a warm, dry September. Generous, forward wines that drink well now.
The harvest
Over 1,000 hours of sun in spring. Double the usual August rainfall in the Marne. Unprecedented sour rot outbreak, peaking on 10–11 September. Yield limit 10,500 kg/ha.
