Agrapart & Fils Terroirs Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru NV
A very chalky, citrus-driven and lean Champagne. The nose gives exactly what I am after when I think of Chardonnay-dominated Champagne from the Côte des Blancs.

Agrapart & Fils, founded in Avize in 1894, is one of the rare Côte des Blancs families to have bottled its own wine from the outset rather than sell fruit to the houses.

The reference point for Côte des Blancs chalk: five generations in Avize, farming plot by plot, and still the benchmark others are measured against.

A nose marked by citrus, clear minerality and a distinct autolytic character.
