Marie-Noëlle Ledru made some of the most admired grower Champagne of her generation, alone, from a few hectares in Ambonnay, and then stopped.

If Egly-Ouriet was the king of Ambonnay, she was its queen — and the reign ended with the 2016 harvest.

Slender, and a quite wonderful nose. Ripe citrus heading towards kumquat, with orange peel and yellow apple, and a clear mineral line that runs towards wet river stone, summer rain and a light note of fresh-cut grass.
