A lovely Blanc de Blancs that gives everything I want from a vintage Blanc de Blancs.

Veuve Fourny & Fils has been a family domaine in Vertus since 1856, and the widow in the name is real — Monique Fourny took over after her husband Albert's death in the 1950s, which is where the house name comes from.

A 0.29-hectare walled clos in Vertus, and five generations working the northern edge of the village where the chalk runs closest to Le Mesnil.
A lovely Blanc de Blancs that gives everything I want from a vintage Blanc de Blancs.
A lovely Champagne with a clear note of oak. Notes of ripe yellow apple, and a fine concentration that carries both the spice and the oak well.
A lovely rosé with clear notes of blood orange and grapefruit.
