Dom Pérignon, first produced in 1921 and released commercially in 1936, is built on a single uncompromising rule: it exists only in declared vintages, always from one harvest, always Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in roughly equal measure.

Dom Pérignon is made only in years worth declaring — no vintage, no wine.

A lovely rosé Champagne. Fine notes of wild strawberry and rose petals, with clear minerality and the baked note I expect from Dom Pérignon Rosé.
A warm vintage, and it shows in the wine. The nose leans tropical, with coconut alongside white stone fruit, yellow apples and candied citrus.
A lovely nose offering flinty minerality and gunsmoke, laid over fresh citrus and ripe green apple, with a complex autolytic character running underneath.
A very pretty salmon-pink colour breaking towards orange. The nose is vinous and inviting, with aromas of red berries — raspberry and strawberry — alongside a hint of gunpowder minerality, light coffee notes and tonka bean.
A powerhouse of a wine. Intense, extroverted, focused and extremely complex, yet at the same time remarkably fresh and elegant — rather like a bodybuilder in a tutu.
A characteristic Dom Pérignon. It shows lovely notes of gunsmoke, coffee and tonka bean over ripe citrus, yellow apple and yellow stone fruit.
A complex nose of orchard fruit, citrus and a sense of ripe, warm tones.
